Lesson 8: How do you prioritize multiple projects? 1. How do you prioritize when you have multiple projects at once? I usually start by checking which project has the closest deadline or biggest impact. Then I talk to my manager to confirm my understanding is correct. After that, I block out time in my calendar for each task. 2. What do you do when everything feels urgent? I try to ask which task would cause the most damage if it were delayed. That question usually makes the real priority much clearer. If I'm still not sure, I bring it to my manager instead of guessing. 3. Can you give an example of juggling multiple projects? Last quarter, I was working on a new feature while also supporting an older system. I spent mornings on the new feature and left support tickets for the afternoon. It wasn't perfect, but it kept both projects moving forward. 4. How do you avoid burning out when you're overloaded? I try to be honest with my manager as soon as I feel overloaded, instead of staying quiet. Taking short breaks during the day also helps me recover faster. Saying no to extra requests is hard, but sometimes necessary. 5. Do you use any tools to manage your tasks? I keep a simple task board with three columns: to do, in progress, and done. I also block time on my calendar so meetings don't eat into my focus time. It's not fancy, but it keeps me from forgetting things.
